Few days ago was born son Vojtech to my friend Kralik and so we met again also with Fanys so we could celebrate this joyful occasion together as it happened when Stella was born. Kralik reminded me that if I write about it I wouldn’t write with such a pathos as last time. I’ll try to.
We managed to talk about lots of stuff – from our church stuff, work, computers, finances, child births even to alternative culture.
I will not write here all about what we said but I will mention the one that really got me in positive way and which one I want to remember and remind.
We dealt with childbirths also (how unexpected) and the part of that subject we were talking about the abortion if we knew in advance that our child would be born disabled and it would be possible that he/she will not survive less than few hours after the birth. The radicalism of the attitude of Fanys really got me in the way that to decide about the little one’s life or death or even quality of his/her live doesn’t belong to us. It is God’s business because He is the giver of the life and so we do not have to worry about it.
Yes the tough moments might come, but I believe that God can give us enough strength to handle them even it would mean anything.
I would like to get back once with the abortion issue itself, because I was really touched by that…
