The beginning of the new academical year was interesting (at least by the amount of the weddings). Nine of our friends got married in one month. There isn’t any mistake in that amount but one of our fiends married to total stranger…

cold at church

Today we had at our church worship service about 10°C because somebody forgot to turn on the radiators. This brought me to the thought if I do not want too much…

There many believing Christians all over the world who would give much for cold church building in the midst of a free country. The do not have any of that but in spite of their bad circumstances their faith is not shaking rather the opposite. They are persecuted, they are hiding, their relatives and friends are in the prison, they are threaten with death but nevertheless they still believe. The need taught them to put the priorities in the right order.

How I lost 2.500,- CZK

Do you know the feeling when you know were you parked your car but you cannot find it there? I had the same feeling today evening when I got back from work. I calmed down and called 156 (911 in US :-) where they kindly told me that my car was not stolen but pulled away.

I took my brother-i-law as my help and some cash and we went to pick my car. Those guys showed me the police video which was taken before they pulled away my car. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The car was in the crossroad with little peace (aprox. 30cm before the end of the curve), but the reason why the pulled my car was that it was a road-block. The car on the other side standing on the clearway sign is just non-essential. Read More

inspiration

Everybody likes to get inspiration from something or somebody, it’s part of our life. Steven got his one today and he played his role of baby carrier. I guess he did great job, though I would not like to be the horse which he carried :-) In real I guess that the horse wouldn’t survive, but luckily the horse has stamina and has been rolling with Steven almost since he was born…

family tradition

I guess that every family in the world has some sort of their tradition. They celebrate holidays in the same way like many generations did before them. They are fans of the same sport’s club. But some of them don’t have just tradition of the way how to celebrate some events, but also in what they do for living as their job.

I hope in secret when I see what Steven created from his cubes (here and here) that he might continue in our small family tradition and he will study some technical – art stuff like 3 generation of his male ancestors… it would be very nice from my point of view but we will not press on him :-)

friends

I have two close friends – Fanys and Jiri aka Kralik. We lived together in one apartment for one year during our young student years. We have became good friends at that time (at least I think so :-) ). We can see each other quite often at our church but there is not enough space for deep and long talking there…

However we go for a beer once a while for instance on the occasion of child being born, birthday celebration, etc. We did celebrate this way the birth of our Stella few days ago and we ended at 3:00am. Read More

Family

We have just spent few hours sitting and talking about life with my brothers and sisters in law. There many things happening around so there is always something to talk about – kids, work, church…

It is always great time which I really like because I can spend it with people who I understand and who I love. Other awesome thing about it is that we live in the same building. When there is a need we can watch others kids or dog or we can buy stuff for those who cannot go shopping that time.

Family is very important and I was given big and great family to my life which I can’t deserve at all. I am very thankful for that and I hope that our kids will understand each other as we do… I really wish it to them…

deadlines vs. vacation

The deadlines are very rough-and-tumble thing. When a person wants to go (in the same time as the deadlines are at work) on holiday, he just has to meet them sooner. And so today, the Friday before leeving on the holiday, I am sitting at work till late hours, to finish, what the others want me to do. Perhaps I make it and when I get back, I hope that there will be no cold shower and a big rush waiting for me.

I have figured out by the time that it is possible to write blog post with past date so I have taken the advantage of it. I have been posting here stuff from my past that have influenced me before I’ve even started to think about blogging. So it is something like family journal including my thoughts, ideas and world view.
